name me robot!!

I recieved my adorable little robot picture from englishmaninps the other day!!! He is super cute!! (the robot that is.....although im sure andrew is in his own right ;) hehe

He was photographed by andrew barber who is quite good at what he does!! His photos can be made into many sizes or put on actual items like magnets or cards, ect. ! He has a great range and i love how his things can be all grouped together to make an awesome collage of images. but they are strong enough to stand on their own too!!

I put him up in my hallway. There he can be seen by everyone and helps direct traffic to the washroom! My girls and i love him and immediately placed him as the center of attention....now, if we only had a name!
We went through a few but just couldnt find the right one!!

Thats where you come in! Help us think of ideas.... take a close look at that metal man of ours and tell me what you think he looks like??

I was looking for some fun and usefull things for my girls presents this year...
I found these adorable eye-spy bags!! When i got them in the mail the other day, i was super pleased! They are made by talona, and really well i might add! She has all different patterns you can choose from.

*These I Spy Bags are filled with 39 trinkets for hours of discovery! Great for long waits and travel. Approx 6 1/2" across. Bag is made of high quality cotton, fleece lined front and back, and triple stitched for safety. The outer edge is stitched twice and once more when soft fleece binding is added. The fleece lining is super smooth, allowing the trinkets and pellets to slide easily. Fleece also makes this bag sooooo soft. The clear vinyl window is sandwiched between two full layers of fabric. *
They also have an attached laminated card so i can detach it if i choose!
They are washable too!! which i like ;) just wash in warm water and airdry!! super easy
I cant wait to see them use these cute bags, they are good for any child!!

yeah! the snow has finally hit the ground! and i love it ;) last night the sky was lit up... fat flakes falling softly to the ground! sooo beautiful!

Once a year we wait for a night like that. Then we wake the sleeping children from their beds in the late hours and go outside and play! The sky is always a softly lit orange, and the cold is just enough to give a slight chill.... The snowballs are fun to throw, and of coarse theres always angels to be made!!

monday

so today was a chilly day outside. sunshining brightly a brisk breeze outside that creeps its way through the old windows in my front porch! Its a good day, i made my first trade the other night, and my hubby shipped it out for me today! I went back today, and am in the process of trading with another lady!! im totally liking this idea. I can get my christmas shopping done, while moving inventory ;) hehe... while in the chat i saw cutnglue and for some reason...well (its because my mommy brain in mush & i no longer have the short term memory i once had) i didnt put her etsy name with her blog name... am i the only one this happens to??? so sorry mamma... but know that now you are forever (hopefully) etched in my memory linking you "etsy" with you "blog"! ;) hehe. we have fun in the tradeing chat rooms...and get a chance to shop for stuff our "friends" make! yeah!!

also today..
my girls were a bit bouncy (as always) and i come downstairs to find them playing...well, im not sure what. but my "bell" was on her little car in capri pants and a hat i crocheted! she had her shoes on and a princess cd player strung around her arm! she was obviously going somewhere, and when she saw me she stopped to say hi! so funny! after nap today we did art! my oldest used these paint pens and did a paint by number pic, while my 3 yr.old and i drew on a huge piece of paper! we practiced squares..and now she can draw houses! she has recently began to draw quite well. (it runs in our families) she started with suns and flowers..they look similar..then on to people! potato head people (i call them) big circle heads with arms and legs sticking out! ;) but shes got detail down...fingers and feet ect.
plus now that im homeschooling she is picking stuff up from her sister..she has learned the letter "I". and writes it on all her pics! its great.
well, time to go. hopefully ill get to do more trading or have some purchases soon ... holidays are coming ;)

Looking for all natural soaps or candles? Then try OakenstoneHandmade. I recently bought someof her handmade soap... i have heard that store bought soap is stripped of the glycerine that helps with added moisture. So i decided to try these all natural oatmeal soaps from
OakenstoneHandmade. Once i washed with it i felt not only clean..but not as dry! They lathered up quite nice, and didnt have a harsh or chemically smell!

With Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Castor Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin), Oatmeal, as some of the ingredients, this was a nice soft soap that left no residue and left me without the "burn" of dry skin!

At good prices and friendly services she makes not only all natural soaps but candles as well!

custom order wreath

So i got a custom order for two wreaths! Not only are they significantly bigger than my doorknob wreaths, but she wanted shatterproof ornaments on it! And now they are done!

These gorgeous beauties can withstand a bit more then the regular ornamental wreaths. They can go OUTDOORS!! with kids and pets the "shatterproof" is a good alternative. Though not available in as many choices as regular ornaments, i have found an ubundant supply of colors and shapes to choose from.

Does this sound appealing to you?? I still wrap the base in a satin ribbon. (this gives a finished look from both sides of the wreath) and i still embelish it with not only ornaments, but beads, bows, ect. almost anything you like can be added to these beautiful decorations.
Not only for christmas... these wreaths can adorn your door throughout the holiday season..or for any season! As a lovely welcome to all those who enter!

Im taking custom orders ;)

so get them while you can!

Or give them as gifts, they are super great! cant tell you how much i love mine! They can hang from your door or adorn your doorknobs... some jingle, most sparkle, and they all bring a smile to my face!!! :)

Then we have indigo.. She is a great stocking.Lined with this awsome cotton ive been waiting to use. And i just got this wool in this past week and cant wait to make some hats and more stocking ect. out of it. the model model

my latest works... hats! yes ive been sewing away to make these adorable little baby hats. (and adult) this ones size is @ 3-6 months.

so of coarse when it comes time for the photos, my model is an obvious choice. my little plum!
of coarse lately (with homeschooling and all) my projects dont get a chance to be worked on till evening. and my model lately is starting her daily meltdown around 4:30pm-6pm. which seems the absolute latest i can keep her up. usually i give up around 5:30pm, and put her to bed.

But not this particular night. no no, plum you must stay up to model my hat!..... it was 6. dad just got home so i grab the camera...."smile baby"!

she was not having it. It started off with a drooly face and a blank stare. so i try for that big winning smile, no luck. I make funny noises, daddy even tickles! still, no luck. only now the blank stare is a frown...there goes the lip! awwww, dont cry...

too late! shes tired. moms got her in this hat, dads holding her up, theres bright light and a flashing camera!
no way that was gonna work. so i admit defeat. take off the hat. comfort my poor baby , who has been forced to endure some sort of child labor by modeling for me....

and im stuck with the winning shot.......

wreaths

This is an example of the wreaths that i make.
Though not that big, they do make quite an impact! They can be hung from doorknobs or just on doors. This one is made from glass balls....

I have also used other materials in making them such as red berries (fake of coarse), candies, bells....ect.
Each wreath is handmade, and the base is wrapped with silk ribbon, which can be seen from the back .

I have also made more springtime wreaths. Made from silk flowers, and again the base was rapped in ribbon.

I hope to be making some this yr. especially for the holiday season. I am also taking custom orders on these too!
